Neue Technologien werfen häufig alte Gewohnheiten und Verfahren über den Haufen, und gelegentlich ruft dies Untergangsängste hervor: Untergang des Abendlandes, Untergang der Kultur, Untergang der Welt, des Universums…
Kaum zu glauben aus heutiger Sicht, dass die Einführung elektrischer Kühlschränke im Frankreich des 1950er Jahre eben solche Untergangsängste hervorrief: Untergang der französischen Esskultur!!!
