E for… Existential Worries

Humans worry so much about what will remain when the worms, the fish or the flames have done their job. I don’t know if sheep have the same existential worries, but the wool I made my sweater from more than thirty years ago is still there, still worn and warming, and might still be there in another thirty years if the clothes moths don’t decide to feast on it. Thank you, Icelandic Sheep!

Existential Worries – Existentielle Sorgen

Menschen machen sich so große Sorgen darüber, was wohl von ihnen übrig bleibt wenn die Würmer, die Fische oder die Flammen ihre Arbeit getan haben. Ob sich Schafe so viele existentielle Sorgen machen kann ich nicht sagen, aber der Pullover, den ich vor über 30 Jahren gestrickt habe ist noch da, wird getragen und wärmt, und wird voraussichtlich in 30 Jahren immer noch da sein wenn die Motten nicht beschließen, darin einen Festschmaus abzuhalten.
